Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu – National-Louis University in Nowy Sącz: the leader among business universities in Poland.

WSB-NLU was established 16 years ago on the basis of vision and regional development. It has now become one of the best higher educational institutions in Poland. In 1994, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung wrote that WSB-NLU was one of the three places in Poland that is worthy to study at (apart from Warsaw and Cracov). Also, Financial Times wrote that WSB-NLU is an example of the “Cutting edge” of Polish transformation. It has received all this praise without even mention of similar international opinions.

Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu - National-Louis University is a leader in private education, well known in Poland for its excellent infrastructure, well-renowned staff and a quality curriculum. At WSB-NLU, there is a never-ending pursuit to be the best. Our reputation is built on the atmosphere of respect and understanding, a place where students from all over the world can study, develop friendships and obtain the knowledge to get ahead in this world.

WSB-NLU offers 4 fields of study: Management (in Polish and English) with National-Louis University and University of Wales Degrees, Computer Science with a DePaul Degree, Psychology, and Political Science.

The Management program in English offers a chance for individuals from abroad and from Poland to develop and further their language skills, while studying business and participating in diverse projects and cases.

The program is taught using a western style to education, with small groups of students being taught through interaction and participation. Our collection of diverse professors and instructors from abroad and home are well-adapted to the world standards of education. Students acquire the ability and professional knowledge that is required and advised by future employers all around the world.

WSB-NLU cooperates with numerous universities all over the world, mainly through the exchange of students and lecturers, organization of mutual scientific projects, participation in seminars and academic meetings, and exchange of scientific publications and academic projects.

WSB-NLU is the only Polish institution of higher education where graduates receive various American degrees at undergraduate and graduate levels.

krzysztof-pawlowski.jpg "We are never satisfied with what we have achieved because if we want to maintain a leading position in the education market we must develop all the time. In the coming years, improving the quality of our programs and making the School international will be of utmost importance. At present, students from 18 countries located on four continents are studying here. I would like for each Polish student who starts studying at WSB-NLU to have friends from all over the world after graduation. In the age of globalization, such friendships are an important experience and a crucial factor that facilitates achieving a successful professional career. We are preparing new programs and surprises for our students and competitors. I can only promise one thing, namely that each student admitted to WSB-NLU programs in 2007, upon graduating, will be able to say: I got more than they had promised us at the beginning,’ and will admit that enrolling in the programs at WSB-NLU in Nowy Sącz was a successful investment."

WSB-NLU is well-known as a university which provides unique and innovate concepts. Recently, it has unveiled the idea of Multimedia City.

The idea of the Multimedia City is based on the concept of The Nowy Sącz Network of Innovation and Knowledge Transfer, a project co-financed by the ESF funds.

The project, titled “Multimedia City,” began operations in the Nowy Sącz national center of innovation and focused on multimedia and information systems. The project will be based on the resources of the Nowy Sącz School of Business – National-Louis University. In The Multimedia City, a unique set of competencies and state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities will be collected, which will enable it to run any project in the field of multimedia and high-technologies. The Multimedia City will consist of state-of-the-art movie, graphic and sound studios cooperating with information, architecture and application development sections. These coexist on the basis of the most modern servers and solutions in field of data transfer. Searching for new ways of using multimedia and information systems, as well as implementing existing solutions into new fields, this project can be crucial for Polish economic development at different levels.

“When I was looking through schools to apply to for my studies I was drawn to WSB because of their claims of diversity and internationalism. It only took one visit to see that this school is truly a place where you see faces from all over the world, and languages as well! The teachers are open and excited to learn about new cultures and even ask questions themselves. My class is made up of people from 6 different countries.”
