Joseph Conrad Exhibition at the Polish Museum

        Monday, June 11 The Polish Museum of America held the exhibition of Joseph Conrad Twixt Land and Sea in order to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the writer’s birth. The ceremony was organized by The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland, The Polish Museum of America and the Joseph Conrad Yacht Club. Joanna Kurowska-Młynarczyk, Ph.D. from the University of Chicago from Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures gave a speech on Joseph Conrad’s life and work.

        Conrad, whose real name is Teodor Józef Konrad Nałęcz-Korzeniowski was a polish-born novelist. Although he was a native Polish speaker, most of his works are written in English
