With a life jazz band at the opening ceremony and organ accompaniment on every screened movie photoplayed by organist Mark Noller, Dennis Scott and Jay Warren, the event will be held for six following Fridays.

This year, the opening ceremony marked silent classic comedy directed by Buster Keaton Seven Chances (1925). On August 3rd the organizers of The Silent Film Festival want to highlight Sergei Eisenstein’s film Battleship Potemkin and discuss its importance in world’s cinematography. The original Meisel-Kliener from the movie will be performed by the 24-piece Lincolnwood Chamber Orchestra and conductor Philip Simmons.
